Irish Dance Class

The Patricia Murphy School will be holding classes on a weekly basis at the Ocean Acres Community Center starting in September! Classes are scheduled to begin on Monday September 10, 2012 at 4:45 PM. These classes are for children ages 5-12.

Pre-School Classes
These classes are now full and in session.
Stafford Recreation will be offering a drop off pre-school program for 3 and 4 year olds who are potty trained, again this summer. Please look for details on that program uner the Summer Camp 2013 tab on this site by the end of March.
The next session of Kids in the Kitchen and Arts & Crafts will be offered in the Autumn of 2013.
All classes take place at the Jennings Road Recreation Center, 385 Jennings Road Manahawkin, NJ.

Kids in the Kitchen Class (Ages 2 1/2 - 5)
This class will run for 6 sessions and will begin the week of February11 and run until April. Classes will allow children in this age group to expand their social, motor and creativity skills through cooking. These classes will explore many different and creative recipes that require little or no heat from an oven. Recipes will be based on the season and events of the fall and early winter season, including some holidays. Children will also create their own keepsake aprons and cookbooks. A parent or guardian is required to stay with their child for the duration of these 1-hour classes.

Classes will center on the seasons of fall and early winter and some holiday activities. Classes will also include games, snacks, music, poems and free play. A parent or guardian is required to stay with their child for the duration of these 1-hour classes. Classes held at the Jennings Road Recreation Center.

A great way to make new friends and meet your neighbors!
Mothers, fathers, infants and toddlers are invited to participate in this weekly, ongoing open play program. Toys, musical instruments, games, crayons and other fun things are provided for your child’s enjoyment. This program is provided for parents and children to get together to socialize and make new friends. If you bring a snack, please bring enough for a few friends to share.
Playgroup will not be offered from June 15 through September 1 due to the Recreation Pre-School Summer Camp.
