Motor Vehicle Accident with injuries
On July 31, 2011 at 6:15 pm Stafford Police responded to an overturned vehicle at the intersection of McKinley Ave and Pine Grove Lane. The victim later identified as 40 year old Charlotte Ashworth of Manahawkin, lost control of her vehicle which overturned and then struck a utility pole. EMS and Fire personnel responded and extricated the victim from the vehicle. She was later flown to Atlantic City Trauma center. The extent of her injuries are unknown at this time.
McKinley Ave was closed for approximately 2 hours to restore power to the area.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by Ptl. Russell Dunfee and the Stafford Police Traffic Safety Unit.
