Drunk Driving Arrest
On July 16, 2011 at 1:18 pm Stafford Township Police were dispatched to Route 9 and Marybell Road in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Melissa L. Aboud, 27 from Tuckerton, NJ for drunk driving. Aboud was travelling north on Route 9 prior to the accident and impacted the rear of a vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn onto Marybell Road causing that vehicle to spin into the southbound lanes of Route 9 where it struck a vehicle travelling southbound on Route 9.
Aboud was transported to Stafford Township Police Headquarters, processed and released pending a future court date in Stafford Township Municipal Court.
Ptl. Brian Fenlon was the arresting officer.
