Armed Robbery
On 6/25/2011 at 23:08 hrs Stafford Police responded to the area of Lighthouse Park and Rudder Ave reference a report of an armed robbery.
Ptl. Robert Conforti arrived and met with the 18yr old male victim from Manahawkin who stated while he was waiting for his friend at his car in the park, he was approached by an unknown male with a handgun and robbed.
The unknown male is described as approximately 6ft tall, wearing a black t-shirt, board shorts and white socks, unknown type of shoes. The victim first refused to give his money and was struck in the face with the gun, however, there was no injury to the victim.
The actor fled back into the park after getting $50.00 in cash from the victim. Stafford Police K9 arrived and K9 officer Schweigart and I conducted a track through the wooded area of the park and onto the Ocean Acres Golf Course with negative results. Police continued to check the area for the suspect but there was negative results. Ptl. Robert Conforti is conducting the investigation.
