EXAMINATION ANNOUNCEMENT BULLETIN
Open Competitive Examination for the position of Patrolman in the Stafford Township Police Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Citizen of the United States and the State of New Jersey.
2. Not less than twenty-one years of age. Maximum age for appointment for police officer is 35 years of age or eligibility to be enrolled in the police and fire retirement system.
3. Good moral character and never been convicted of an indictable offense or shall not have been convicted of any lesser offense in the five years preceding his/her appointment.
4. Weight proportionate to height.
5. Sound in body and in good health.
6. 20/20 vision in each eye with artificial corrections and shall have normal color perception.
7. 15/15 hearing in each ear without artificial aids.
8. Possess a valid New Jersey Drivers License.
9. High school diploma or an approved high school equivalent certificate.
10. Drug screening through urinalysis is mandatory during pre-employment and again during training for all successful candidates.
11. All successful candidates are required to be fingerprinted prior to employment.
12. Examination opened to first 200 applicants only.
13.Application fee of $25.00 is due at the time the application packet is picked up. Check or money order only, made payable to Stafford Township.
14. Physical Performance Test will be held at 0800 hours on Saturday May 19th, 2012. Written Examination will be held on Tuesday May 22, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.
Applications will be available beginning 0800 hours on Monday April 30, 2012 at the Stafford Township Police Department. Closing date for filing applications will be Thursday May 17, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.
