Stafford Township is and has been aware of residents’ concerns regarding the city water system in the Ocean Acres sections of town.  Although our water system is and continues to be fully compliant  with The Department of Environmental Protection standards, we are committed to improving upon the system’s performance and our water quality.

Every spring the water department takes a number of steps to improve water quality.  This spring has been no different; flushing water mains throughout the township and the water towers servicing Ocean Acres have been drained, cleaned and disinfected.  These programs are designed to enhance water quality and despite the fact that we remain fully compliant with all Department of Environment Protection standards and our water supply is safe, we are continuing to work with our water and sewer engineers to improve water quality and address residents’ concerns throughout the township.

We ask that all residents assist us in this process by contacting the Water and Sewer Department immediately with any issue you may be having with your water.  We will respond and do all we can do to address your problem.

 Respectfully,

 Mayor John R. Spodofora
